Pendle East PCN runs local events throughout the year to help connect residents with health and wellbeing support in the community. Details of our upcoming events are listed below.

Activity Calendar

Pendle East PCN runs a range of free weekly activities aimed at improving physical and mental wellbeing, supporting social connection, and offering a welcoming space for everyone in the community.

These activities are open to all patients registered with a Pendle East GP practice. No long-term commitment is needed – just come along and take part in whatever suits you.

MondayFree Group Walks
Start your week with a gentle walk around Ball Grove Park. The session is relaxed, social, and lasts about an hour.
Time: 1:00pm

TuesdayChronic Pain Support – Moving On Together
A supportive session for people living with chronic pain, helping to manage symptoms through education and peer connection.
Time: 10:30am – 11:30am
Location: Seedhill Fitness Centre, Surrey Road, Nelson, BB9 7YT
WednesdayWalking Football
A fun, low-impact version of football for all levels. Great for staying active and meeting others.
Time: 12:15pm – 1:15pm
Location: Pendle Leisure Centre
Cost: £3.50 per player (free for Activo members)
ThursdayButterflies Memory Café
Friendly and welcoming support groups for people living with memory challenges and their carers.
1st & 3rd Thursdays: Colne Library, 1:30pm – 3:00pm
2nd & 4th Thursdays: Barnoldswick Library, 1:30pm – 3:00pm

Yoga Wellbeing – Colne
Gentle yoga session focused on breathing, flexibility and relaxation.
Time: 11:00am
Location: Colne Library

Community Garden Drop-In
Help grow fruit, veg, and herbs while connecting with others outdoors.
Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Location: Colne Health Centre
FridayYoga Wellbeing – Barnoldswick
End the week with a calming yoga session designed for all abilities.
Time: 11:00am
Location: Civic Hall, Barnoldswick

Pendle Community Food Network

Pendle has a wide network of community focussed food support across the borough. 

This includes emergency and crisis support such as food banks and community groceries, where those in need of emergency food items and essentials can request help in the area which they live.
